MARCELA D. KOEHN, 77

Celebration of life services for Marcela D. Koehn, 77, Webster, were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 1, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Millersburg. She died Sunday, May 30, 2004, at the English Valley Care Center, North English, after an extended illness.

The Rev. Cory Rajek officiated at the service.

Burial was in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Williamsburg.

Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or the English Valley Care Center.

Marcela Delores Koehn was born Aug. 12, 1926, at the home of her parents, William and Christine Trimpe Heitshusen, Conroy. She was baptized Sept. 5, 1926, and confirmed March 11, 1940. She attended parochial school in Conroy and graduated from Hilton Consolidated School, Conroy, in 1945.

She married Virgil H. Koehn Feb. 20, 1949, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Conroy. She had lived in the Dayton Township area most of her adult life. She enjoyed gardening and helping on the farm when needed.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Millersburg; the LWMI; Ladies Aid; and Millersburg Auxiliary.

Keohn is survived by two sons and their wives, Randy and Kathy Koehn and Kurt and Susan Koehn, all Webster; eight grandchildren, Ryan Koehn, Robyn Leer and husband Scott, Roger Koehn and wife Lena, Rebecca Koehn, Joseph Koehn, John Koehn, Andrew Koehn and Amanda Bothe; three great-granddaughters, Caitlin, Jennifer and Devan Leer; and two sisters, Florence Gardner, Williamsburg, and Madora Jensen, Cedar Rapids.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1986; her parents; and one sister, Alice Heitshusen.
