MCNEAL SERVICES HELD

Lillian McNeal, 86, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, at Grinnell General Hospital.

Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Steffy Funeral Home in Montezuma, with the Rev. Paul Septer officiating. Music was provided by Alice Underwood, organist. Pallbearers were Jack Wakely, Don VanKampen, Harold Williams, Edwin Bryan, Frank Ferneau and Paul VanRoekel. Burial was at Jackson Township Cemetery, Montezuma.

The daughter of Frank and Irene Benson Terrell, she was born Nov. 12, 1893, at Forest Home, Poweshiek County. She attended Forest Home School, Penn College Academy and Drake University. She was a sewing instructor in Des Moines.

On Dec. 24, 1913, she was married to John McNeal in Oskaloosa. They farmed near New Sharon and Montezuma until 1961 when they moved to Grinnell.

Mrs. McNeal was a member of the Christian Church.

She is survived by her husband and a son, Paul of Malcom. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Coleman and Clark Terrell; and two sisters, Martha Miller and Pauline Wheeler.
