SERVICES HELD
FOR MRS. EDWARDS

Lolie Elnora Stewart Edwards, 88, died May 20 at the home of her daughter in Denver.

Born Jan. 27, 1881 to David and Elizabeth Stewart, she attended rural schools around Grinnell and graduated from Grinnell High School. She was married to John Richard Edwards; to this union were born three children: Everett E., who preceded her in death, and Gurna L. of Denver and Lester S. of Los Angeles. Mrs. Edwards spent all of her life in the Grinnell area until her health failed her.

Survivors include one daughter, Gurna L. of Denver; one son, Lester S. of Los Angeles; one brother, Floyd Stewart of Grinnell; five grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Lolie Edwards were held at 2 p.m. May 23 at the James-Schalinske Funeral home with the Rev. Newell Davis officiating. Pallbearers were Leo Ahrens, Hollis Tish, Robert Breiting, Delmar Stewart, Gerald Carpenter, and Peter Roussos. Music was provided by Mrs. Noel Taylor and Mrs. Leonard Pearce.

Interment was in the Prairie View Cemetery in Gilman.
