LONGTIME RESIDENT

Mr. Eichhorn had been a well known figure in Poweshiek county where he had lived since 1877. Most of his active life was spent on the home place, four miles east and a mile north of Grinnell. He retired from farming in 1913 and moved to Grinnell, where he had lived ever since in the home at the corner of Eighth avenue and Summer street.

A FRIENDLY MAN

Mr. Eichhorn was a friendly man, with a genuine interest in people. Friends will miss his cordial greeting and warm handshake as they met him on the street.

He had long been active in the Grinnell Methodist church and was a member of the Elks lodge and the Odd Fellows.
