FUNERAL THURSDAY

George J. Eisele, 80, of Grinnell passed away Monday, June 12, at Community Hospital.

He was born June 16, 1886, in Malcom Township, the son of Charles and Frances Schultz Eisele. He was one of five children. He attended the rural schools near his farm home and on October 2, 1907, he was united in marriage with Ida Dorothy Freese. To this union were born five children, all of whom survive: Earl W. Eisele of near Toledo, Raymond C. Eisele of near Clutier, Mrs. Frances Wymore of Cedar Rapids, Wayne H. Eisele of Waterloo, and Alvin G. Eisele of Portland, Ore.

He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and one brother Eli Eisele of Omaha. He was preceded in death by his wife Ida, a sister Mamie Spading, and two brothers Frank and Harry Eisele.

Mr. Eisele had been a member of the Lily Masonic Lodge of Malcom, and he had farmed in the Malcom area for most of his life, except for in the Barnes City area for about five years. He retired from farming in 1935 and had made his home in Grinnell where he continued working in gardening and yard work for friends.

Funeral Services for George J. Eisele were held today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Allen Van Cleve, pastor of the Central Park Presbyterian Church of Cedar Rapids, officiating. The organist was Mrs. Willard Heffner.

Casket bearers were Merle Lamb, Richard Eisele, Laverne Lamb, Lavern Kelm, Duane Freese and Jerry Eisele. Honorary bearers were Keith Eisele, David Eisele and Robert Eisele. Burial was in Ivy Hill Cemetery, Malcom.
