MAE DITZLER

Mae Ditzler, 96, of Grinnell died of congestive heart failure Tuesday, July 4, at St. Francis Manor.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Hazelwood Cemetery, with the Rev. William Reynolds, pastor of St. Mary's Catholic Church, officiating.

Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home beginning at 3 p.m. Thursday. The family will be present from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

She was born March 19, 1904, in Grinnell to John Henry and Mary Ann Monahan Ditzler. She attended Grinnell schools. She lived in Grinnell all of her life and worked for the former Iowa Telephone Co., Spurgeon's Department Store and as a bookkeeper for a local livestock buyer.

Surviving are two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
