Adkins, Rev. James Burton-b. Rock Creek Twp, Jasper Co, IA 7/15/1860 s/o Alvin and Mary Ann Young, mar. 7/11/1888 to Mary Ann James of Welbridge, VT. He d. 7/27/1947 ae 87 at home of his dau., Mrs. Paul Bartlett. Four children: Horace of Grinnell, IA; Mrs. Oliver Hank, Cedar Rapids, IA; Ruth Susan, d. infancy; Mrs. Paul Barlett. Two brothers: Bonham and Lee of Grinnell, sister, Mrs. George Phegly.
