ADRIAN M. WATSON
DEEPLY MOURNED

The death of Adrian M. Watson takes from Grinnell a man quiet in his exterior appearance but industrious in every duty that came to him and as true as steel to his friends and to his employers.

He was born at Dowagiac, Michigan, in 1859 and died after a two weeks' illness at Grinnell, Iowa, October 25, 1926. He came to Iowa in 1881 and was united in marriage with Mary Louise Lane in 1882. He was converted and united with the Methodist church under the pastorte of Dr. Matt S. Hughes.

For the past fourteen years Mr. Watson has worked for the city of Grinnell. He was recognized as a faithful employee and enjoyed the confidence of all who knew him. The immediate relatives who mourn his decease are the widow, one daughter, Mrs. Lela Lillie of Leon, Iowa, six grandchildren, and one brother, John R. Watson of Berrian Center, Michigan.

Funeral services were conducted at the home by the Rev. George Blagg on Wednesday afternoon. Appropriate hymns were sung by Mrs. A.S. Ennis and Mrs. E.W. Virden, "Jesus Pilot of My Soul" and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere."

A large company of friends attended the funeral service, thus recognizing not only their friendship for the man but their deep appreciation of his kindness and generous manner as a neighbor.

The bearers were: N.O. Pilgrim, George C. Murray, J.J. Mullin, T.S. Mason, A.C. Barker and W.G. Ray.
