MRS. FRANKIE WATSON RITES HELD FEB. 13

Funeral services for Mrs. Frankie Watson were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 13, at the Steffy Funeral Home. The Rev. Martin Gruneich officiated. Music was provided by Miss Alice Underwood, organist.

Interment was at Friends Cemetery, New Sharon.

Casket bearers were James VanArkel, Charles Hudson, Wilbur Stanley, Alva Johnson, Al Johnson and Erwin Clendenen.

Mrs. Watson, 92, passed away Monday, February 10, at Friendship Manor, Grinnell.

The daughter of Hannah and Albert Boget, she was born near Searsboro on Sept. 12, 1876.

On June 10, 1894, she was united in marriage with Edward Watson. To this union three children were born. They spent their entire married life on the same farm.

On Dec. 4, 1943, Mr. Watson passed away. Mrs. Watson maintained their home until 1950 when she moved to New Sharon. For several years she served as a practical nurse.

For the past three years she has been cared for in a nursing home.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Blanche Johnston of Chicago, Ill., and Mrs. Hazel Tish of Grinnell; a son, Marvin of Searsboro; nine grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
