JOSEPHINE GEINGER

Josephine McLaughlin Geinger, 90, a former Grinnell resident, died at St. Joseph's Hospital in Denver, Colo., Monday, July 8.

One of nine children, she was the daughter of the late James and Rose Hotchkin McLaughlin. She was also one of 40 grandchildren of John and Rose Gaughran Hotchkin, pioneers of the Grinnell community, who came here from Illinois in January 1869.

The only surviving member of the McLaughlin family is the oldest, Rose McLaughlin Mitchell, 104, of North Hollywood, Calif.

Mrs. Geinger is also survived by her son, Max Geinger Jr., 6600 W. 55th Ave., Arvada, Colo. 80002, and her sister, Rose Mitchell of California.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Max; her parents; five sisters and two brothers.
