SERVICES TODAY
FOR MARY FRY,
GRINNELL NATIVE

Funeral services are scheduled this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the James funeral home for Mary Alice Fry, 82, who died Saturday following an illness of several years. The Rev. John DeLong will officiate. Burial will be in Hazelwood cemetery.

She was born in Grinnell, June 3, 1874 and lived her entire life in Grinnell. She was the daughter of the late N.B. and Ellen Mincer.

Jan. 9, 1891, she was united in marriage to Mortimore G. Fry of Earlham. To this union six children were born. Three died in infancy. One son Raymond who grew to manhood died in service during World War I. Her husband died in 1940.

Early in life she joined the Methodist church. In her more active years she was a member of the WSCS, the Legion auxiliary, the Daughters of Union Veterans, WRC, Pythina Sisters, Royal Neighbors and other clubs.

Survivors are her son Harry of Des Moines, and one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy McCaffree of Newton. Also surviving are one sister Eldora of Liscomb and two brothers, Bert of Silvis, Ill., and Leonard of California.
