DIES IN CALIFORNIAA former Grinnellian, Hugh L. Alexander, 91, died July 17 in Fresno, Calif.
Mr. Alexander was born in Grinnell Sept. 11, 1877, and attended school here. He left in 1908 for Omaha, then returned to the Grinnell area in 1918. He later lived in Spencer, Ia., until the death of his wife in 1963. Mr. Alexander then moved to California to live with his daughter.
He is survived by his daughter, Mary Alexander, and his sister-in-law, Mabel Morgan of Grinnell.
Services were held in Spencer July 21.
