MRS. ALEXANDER
DIES SATURDAY,
RITES TOMORROW

Funeral services are scheduled tomorrow for Mrs. Carrie Alexander, who died at a local hospital Saturday after being injured in a fall at her home.

Mrs. Alexander was born on Feb. 19, 1883, near Davenport. She was the daughter of Cassius and Hannah Smith Morgan. The family moved to Grinnell, and she attended local schools.

She was married to J. Emory Alexander on Feb. 11, 1902, with the Rev. E.M. Vittum presiding at the ceremony here. They have five children: Paul Alexander of Walnut Creek, Calif.; Mrs. George (Helen) Johnson of Grinnell; Harold Alexander of Omaha, Neb.; Mrs. Robert (Edith) Phillips of Valparaiso, Ind., and Mrs. Ruth Gusissinger of Chester, Pa.

Other surviving relatives include her husband, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren, four sisters and one brother. The sisters are Mrs. H.L. (Grace) Alexander of Milford; Mrs. R.C. (Luella) Scott of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. F.E. (Nell) Towbride of Hollister, Calif., and Miss Mabel Morgan of Grinnell. The brother is R. Edgar Morgan of Calmar.

Mrs. Alexander was a member of the First Baptist church and belonged to the Brande Bible class, the Isabella Brande Guild, the WCTU, the Sunset Club and the Order of Eastern Star.

The Rev. C.E. Kingsley will preside at the services tomorrow at 1:30 at the First Baptist church. James Severe will provide music. Pallbearers will be Wilbur Eyestone, W.G. Greenwald, Howard Hyde, Leonard Newton, J.C. Parrott, and LaVerne Raffety. Flower bearers will be Mrs. W.G. Greenwald and Mrs. Leonard Newton. Burial will be in Hazelwood cemetery.
