FUNERAL SERVICES
FOR MRS. BURKE

Myrtle Moody, daughter of John and Theresa Moody was born in Vellene, Orange county, Ind., March 22, 1889, and passed away at the Colonial hospital in Rochester, Minn., at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 6, just five days after a major operation. She was aged 43 years and 15 days.

When a child of six months she was brought by her parents to Iowa and has resided in this state ever since.

She graduated from the Kellogg high school. She attended the Christian church and was a teacher in the Sunday School in Grinnell.

She was married to Polk Burke in 1906. She leaves to mourn her loss, one son, Gael Huston Burke of Grinnell, also her mother, Theresa Jane Moody and four sisters, Mrs. Lucinda Phelps of Grinnell, Flo Huston, June Shoemaker and Ethel Kelly all of Kellogg.

She was a member of the Rebekah lodge and her lodge sisters had charge of the services at the grave. Services were held at the Smith funeral home at 2:30 Saturday afternoon conducted by Rev. Wm. Welsh.

The Pall bearers were Howard Lacey of Des Moines, K. Lunding of Estherville, Paul Eastridge, Clayton Phelps, Don See and Burt Speth.
