EVELYN DONACHIE

Private funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn Donachie, 58, of Denver, Colo., were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, in the Nevenhoven Funeral Home, Brooklyn. Mrs. Donachie, a former resident of Montezuma and Brooklyn, died Monday, April 8, 1985, in Rose Medical Center, Denver, Colo.

Rev. Fr. Karl Holtkamp, pastor of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, officiated. The organist was Mrs. Marilyn Kriegel. Casket-bearers were Gene Lacaeyse, Carl Lacaeyse, Dean Lacaeyse, and Gary Mecesk. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery, Brooklyn.

Evelyn Freda Lacaeyse, daughter of Mrs. Laura Van Tomme Lacaeyse and the late Fred Lacaeyse, was born in Grinnell, Iowa on March 29, 1927. She was a graduate of the Brooklyn High School and Mercy Medical School of Nursing of Iowa City.

She was united in marriage to James R. Donachie on June 29, 1954, in Memphis, Tenn. Mrs. Donachie was a member of the Catholic Church.

Surviving are her husband, James R. Donachie; three sons, Mike of Orlando, Fla., David of El Paso, Texas, and John of Battle Creek, Mich.; her mother, Mrs. Laura Lacaeyse of Montezuma; one brother, Marvin Lacaeyse of Montezuma; and one grandson.

She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Lacaeyse.
