DE CRAENE FUNERAL
IS THURSDAY MORNING

A heart attack claimed the life of Alfred (Fred) De Craene at his home in Brooklyn early Tuesday morning. He was 79 years old.

Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at ten o'clock at St. Patrick's church in charge of the Rev. John T. Kennedy. Interment will be in Calvary cemetery with Henry Arens, John Curran, Chas. Arens, August Van Renterghem, Hobart Powell and Morris LaKose serving as pallbearers.

The son of Peter and Florence De Craene, he was born June 24, 1885, in Eckloo, Belgium. On January 2, 1910, he was married to Augusta Maria Van Zuyt in Belgium and four years later the couple came to the United States. They farmed in the Brooklyn community for several years before retiring and moving into town.

He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Rachel) Van Ersvelde of Montezuma; three grandsons and one great-grandchild. He also leaves three brothers, August of Robsart, Canada; Camiel of Ormond Beach, Fla. and Richard of St. Petersburg, Fla.

Preceding him in death were two sisters, two brothers and one daughter, who died in Belgium.
