Dana McMillan Dies

Well Known Chester Man Passes
Away At His Present Home In
Van Nuys, Calif.

A telegram received by friends here this morning announced the death yesterday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock of Dana McMillan at his California home. Mr. McMillan had an attack of the flu some time ago and never fully recovered. The immediate cause of his death however, was from spinal meningitis. Our readers recall that his mother, Mrs. Carrie McMillan, who was visiting here was called home a few days ago by word of his illness.

Mr. McMillan had lived many years in Chester and was a direct descendant of General Israel Putnam from whom he was named, his Christian names being Putnam Dana.
