LUCILE GOUGH

Lucile Gough, 82, of 324 Eleventh Ave., Grinnell, died Sunday, Sept. 20, at St. Francis Manor, where she had been a resident since February.

Memorial services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Parlor Chapel of the United Church of Christ-Congregational, with the Rev. David Bowman officiating. A private burial took place at Hazelwood Cemetery.

The daughter of Fount and Della White Monroe, she was born Nov. 27, 1909, in Hill County, Texas. She was married to Chester Harlan Gough Jan. 5, 1928, in Abilene, Texas. The couple lived in Denton, Texas, before moving to Moravia, Iowa, in 1972. Mrs. Gough moved to Grinnell in 1977.

She is survived by her daughter, Babe Voertman of Grinnell; two sisters, Macon Spangler of Bellaire, Texas, and Helen Payne of Houston, Texas; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and three brothers.
