DAVID TONE SERVICES HELD

Funeral services for David B. Tone, 72, of Rock Falls, Ill., a native of Grinnell, were held Tuesday at Rock Falls, with burial at Oak Knoll Memorial Park.

Mr. Tone died Saturday at a Rock Falls hospital.

The son of Andrew and Madeline Norland Tone, he was born March 29, 1904, in Grinnell. On July 16, 1927, he was married to Gladys Clark. The couple farmed near Grinnell for many years. Mr. Tone became a serviceman for International Harvester prior to moving to Rock Falls.

Survivors include his wife, Gladys; two sons, Maurice Tone of Cedar Rapids and Jim Tone of Lexington, Ill; three sisters, Mrs. Esther Melrose of Waterloo, Mrs. Byron (Bertha) Shinn of Ormon Beach, Fla., and Mrs. Adolf (Martha) Toepfer of Idaho Falls, Idaho; one brother, Andres Tone of Grinnell; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Imogene; and two brothers, Thomas and Abner Tone.
