TODAY FOR MRS.
MYRTLE JENKINS

Mrs. Myrtle Jenkins of Grinnell died at a local hospital Friday morning after an illness of the last five weeks.

Services for Mrs. Jenkins were held this afternoon (Monday) at the Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Leland Mann officiating. Music was provided by Mrs. Esther Auman.

Pallbearers were Virgil Doud, Lloyd Henderson, Clyde Holden, Roy Holden, Joe Hotchkin, and Gerald Phipps. Interment was made at Hazelwood cemetery.

She was the daughter of Joshua and Synthia Rucker Cole and was born at Kellogg on March 25th, 1878. On December 24th, *1895, she was united in marriage to Thomas B. Jenkins at Grinnell.

To this union were born Eugene Jenkins of Grinnell, Mrs. Marjorie Kellogg of Ft. Wayne, Ind., Louise Edith Jenkins of Grinnell, and Joseph Jenkins of Tacoma, Wash. She is also survived by one brother, Orville Cole of Biloxi, Miss.

Preceding her in death besides her parents and husband was one son, William Earl.

Mrs. Jenkins had lived in the Grinnell area most of her life. She was a member of the Congregational church.
