W.S. DODGE, FORMER GRINNELLIAN, DIES IN ROCK ISLAND, ILL.

Grinnell citizens have received news of the death of W.S. Dodge, a former well known Grinnell man.

He died Tuesday in Rock Island, Ill. He had been semi-paralized and bedfast for many months. At the time of death he was 80 years old.

Years ago Dodge was a top executive with the Grinnell Washing Machine Co. Later he established his own business, known as the Dodge Tool Company.

While in Grinnell he was prominent in many organizations, including the Benevolent Order of Elks and various other community organizations.

Funeral services and burial will be Friday in Rock Island.
