--Word was received here Friday evening of the death of Mrs. John Cruise, mother of S.J. Pooley, at the home of her daughter in Cedar Falls about 8 o'clock Friday evening. Mr. Pooley was informed of her serious illness late Friday afternoon and left immediately for Marshalltown where he learned that she had aleady passed away. He went on to Cedar Falls to attend the funeral, which was held Sunday at one o'clock. Interment was made at Earlville.
