MRS. FRANK KILDAY RITES HELD IN COLORADO
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Oct. 14, for Mrs. Frank (Amanda) Kilday in the Berkeley Community Church at Denver, Colo., with the Rev. Wilbur R. Davisson officiating. Burial was in Crown Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Amanda Margaret Lofgreen Kilday was born August 4, 1889, at Montezuma. As a girl she joined the Montezuma Presbyterian Chruch. She graduated from Montezuma High School in 1908. After graduation and preparatory school she taught school for a few years.
She met Frank W. Kilday at a friend's home in Des Moines while he was on leave as a soldier in World War I. Frank Kilday later was transfered to Fitzsimons Hospital, Denver, and Amanda Lofgreen went to Denver for their wedding on Sept. 22, 1919.
One child, Helen, was born to this union. She and her mother joined the Berkeley Community Church Jan. 19, 1941.
Mrs. Kilday was in failing health the last six months and a patient in Lutheran Hospital for three weeks. She passed away at Lutheran Hospital Oct. 7.
Survivors include her husband, Frank; their daughter, Helen, and son-in-law, Elmer Roth and one granddaughter, Margaert; plus nieces and nephews who live in Iowa.
