RITES HELD FOR MRS. DETERS

Dorothy E. Deters, 68, of St. Paul, Minn., died Wednesday afternoon at St. Luke's Hospital at St. Paul.

Graveside services for Mrs. Deters were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Pleasant Township Cemetery near Ewart. The Rev. James Conger, pastor of the Newton First Baptist Church, officiated.

The daughter of Milton and Matilda Garrett, she was born Dec. 29, 1908, in Grinnell. She attended school here and was graduated from Grinnell High School.

She was married to Dr. Donald C. Deters on Oct. 16, 1937, at Albia. Following their marriage, they lived in Des Moines until 1945 when they moved to St. Paul.

She is survived by her husband; two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Groves of Newton and Mrs. Mary Hays of Des Moines; and a brother, Norris Garrett of Rockford, Ill.
