MRS. PAULINE (WENTZELL) HEDGES

Pauline Wentzell was born on July 10, 1876, at LaSalle, Ill., and moved when but a year old with her parents to the vicinity of Malcom. There she spent her girlhood days and there she was married on January 31, 1901, to William Hedges. After her marriage they moved to Grinnell, where they resided till the time of her death, following an operation at the City Hospital on April 7. To them was born one son, Charles F. Hedges, who with the sorrowing husband and two sisters mourn the loss of a good mother, wife and sister. Early in her life she united with the German Lutheran church in Malcom township and retained her membership to the time of her death. The family have the deepest sympathy of the community in their loss. Short services conducted by the Rev. Elias Handy were held at the home on Spencer street yesterday and the remains taken to Malcom for burial today.
