MARTHA NEVENHOVEN

Mrs. Martha Nevenhoven, 76, of Austinville, mother of Harold Nevehoven of Brooklyn, died Monday night, Aug. 8, 1988, in Allen Memorial Hospital, Waterloo.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Nevenhoven were held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 11, in the Christian Reformed Church in Ackley, Ia. The pastor, Rev. Floyd DeBoer, officiated, and burial was in the church cemetery, rural Ackley.

Martha Hulzebus was born may 14, 1912, in Grundy County, Ia., the daughter of George and Anna Schipper Hulzebus. She received her education in a rural school and the Austinville School. She was a retired employee of the Maple Manor Nursing Home, Aplington.

Martha was united in marriage to Kobus Nevenhoven November 5, 1932, rural Ackley. She lived most of her life in the Austinville area.

Mrs. Nevenhoven was a member of the Ackley Christian Reformed Church.

Surviving are two sons and their wives, Harold and Ellen Nevenhoven of Brooklyn, and Kenneth and Judy Nevenhoven of rural Aplington; three sisters, Mrs. Rena DeVries of New Hartford, Ia., Mrs. Elizabeth Ridder of Ackley, and Mrs. Gertrude Holvenga of Dumont; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son and three sisters.
