MRS. REYNOLDS RITES TUESDAY

Mrs. Iowa B. Reynolds, 79, the widow of D.M. "Buck" Reynolds, died Saturday afternoon at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, following hospitalization the past 10 weeks.

The daughter of Worth and Sarah McFadden Clark, she was born near Ewart, Iowa, May 19, 1893. On Aug. 27, 1917, she was married to Daniel M. Reynolds at the Methodist parsonage in Des Moines. They celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary before his death Sept. 21, 1969.

Mr. and Mrs. Reynolds made their home in Grinnell most of their lives, and Mr. Reynolds owned a dry-cleaning shop here for many years. Mrs. Reynolds, in earlier years, worked in the office of the Grinnell Washing Machine Company and for Iowa Southern Utilities Co. before helping her husband in his business. She was a member of the Daughters of American Colonists, the Razelle Club, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Past Presidents of the Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include her two sisters, Ruth Clark of Grinnell and Mrs. Madge Bentz of Miami, Fla., as well as nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers, Ewart and Leland Clark.

Funeral services for Mrs. Reynolds will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ralph Beebe of the Mayflower Home officiating. Organist will be Mrs. Willard Heffner, and vocalist will be Edward Bohstedt. Pallbearers will be Floyd Clark, Harlan Clark, Max Bentz, Stanley Bentz, Bill Clark and Jim Clark.

Burial will be in Hazelwood Cemetery.
