MISS HARTZELL SERVICES HELD

Estella F. Hartzell, 77, of Rte. 2, Grinnell, died Monday morning at Grinnell General Hospital.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Smith Funeral Home, with Linda K. Renaud, intern seminarian at the Grinnell United Methodist Church, officiating. Organist was Kathleen Heffner. Pallbearers were Thomas E. Selle, Donald Stoker, Marvin Stoker, Russell Stoker, Gordon VanDonselaar, John VanDonselaar, and Roger VanDonselaar. Burial was at Hazelwood Cemetery.

The daughter of Marion C. and Ida Florence Perry Hartzell, she was born Oct. 20, 1899, on the family farm just west of Grinnell. She attended the Grinnell schools. In recent weeks, because of failing health, she lived at St. Francis Manor.

Survivors include her sisters, Josephine M. Hartzell of rural Grinnell and Mrs. Ermal (Alice) Sleeth of Milwaukee, Wis., and a brother, Ray R. Hartzell of Grinnell. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Harrison H. Hartzell, who died in infancy.
