WILLIAM WESCO DIES IN ST. LOUIS

Grinnell friends were shocked Sunday to learn by telegram of the death of William "Billy" Wesco, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wesco of Newburg, which occurred Sunday at 1:20 p.m. at St. Louis, Mo. Mr. Wesco had become ill a few days before at Denver and had rushed to St. Louis for treatment where he submitted to an operation for appendicitis. He seemed at first to be making a good recovery, but a telegram which reached Grinnell Saturday informed his parents of his serious condition and asking them to come at once.

The body arrived in Grinnell this morning accompanied by the parents and by Mr. Stinson, president of the Missouri Pacific Railway with which Mr. Wesco was associated as head of the poultry extension department.

Mr. Wesco was only 28 years old. He was a graduate of Iowa State College and has been connected with the poultry extension department of Iowa State College until about a year ago when he went to St. Louis.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow at the parental Frank Wesco home at 2:30. Rev. H.L. Wissler will be in charge and interment will be in Chester cemetery.
