HUSBAND OF FORMER NEWBURG RESIDENT DIES IN FLORIDA

George Rist, 66, of Homestead, Fla., husband of a former Newburg resident, died Saturday afternoon at a Florida hospital.

A native of Dayton, Ohio, he had resided in Florida for the past several years. He was united in marriage with Helen Louise Newcomer, formerly of Newburg, on April 7th, 1945, at Toledo, Ohio. His wife survives.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday from the James-Schalinske Funeral Home with the Rev. Roland M. Wendell officiating. Burial will be in the Chester cemetery, with graveside rites conducted by Focht-Tennant Post No. 53, Grinnell American Legion.
