RITES HERE FOR MRS. EMMA FISHER

Mrs. Emma E. Fisher, formerly of the Grinnell area died Wednesday at Denver, Colo., where she had made her home for the past several years. She had been in ill health for about three years.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Leland W. Mann, minister of the Congregational church, officiating. Burial will be in Chester cemetery north of Grinnell.

She was born Feb. 13th, 1869, in Scott county, Iowa, the daughter of John E. and Esther Burch Dempster. She received her early education in Scott county and settled on a farm in Chester Township in 1900.

On April 8th, 1903, she was united in marriage with Eugene Fisher and to this union were born three children: Mrs. Esther Raffety, deceased; Mrs. Howard (Ruth) Martin and Miss Dorothy Fisher, both of Denver, Colo. She also leaves three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Mrs. Fisher was preceded in death by her husband in 1918, her daughter, and three brothers and two sisters.

Following her husband's death, Mrs. Fisher moved from the farm to Grinnell. She was a member of the Congregational church.

RITES HELD SATURDAY FOR FORMER RESIDENT

Funeral services for Mrs. Emma E. Fisher, 91, former Grinnell resident, were held Saturday morning at the Smith Funeral Home.

Mrs. Fisher died Dec. 21st, at Denver, Colo., where she had made her home since leaving Grinnell.

Officiating at the services was the Rev. Leland Mann, minister of the Congregational church. Vocal music was provided by Mrs. Noel Taylor, accompanied by Mrs. Rhee Auman at the organ.

Pallbearers were Dale Breckenridge, Carl Child, Gaylord Dempster, Keith Dempster, Charles Fritz and F.W. Tomasek. Interment was in Chester cemetery.
