AMMY HUNT BARTOW

Ammy Hunt Bartow, daughter of Eden and Melissa Hunt was born in Mahaska county Septemer 30, 1866. She passed away on July 22, 1957 in Newton, Iowa. She attended school in Lynnville.

She was united in marriage to Elsworth Bartow in 1888 and to this union were born two sons, Cleon and Halford who preceded her in death as did her husband. She is survived by Rebecca Bartow, two nieces, Osie and Melissa Taylor and a nephew, Millard Sparks.

Mrs. Bartow was the oldest member of the Fanny Taylor Rebekah lodge of Lynnville, Iowa.

She was a faithful member of the Lynnville Friends church for many years, until health prevented her attendance.

Funeral services were held in the Lynnville Friends church Thursday afternoon at 3:30 in charge of Rev. Carl D. Byrd. Mrs. Harvey Gause and Mrs. Ozro Dearinger sang, "Beyond The Sunset" accompanied by Mrs. Howard Macy. Pallbearers were Cecil Gertsma, Harvey Gause, Glenn Van Genderen, Ray Versteeg, Harry Mererdith and Marshall Meredith. Mrs. Roscoe Sparks and Mrs. Albert Terpstra were in charge of the flowers. Interment was in Woodland cemetery.
