--Mrs. W.J. Jefferson died at her residence at 1015 High street, Wednesday evening, Jan. 21 at 8:15 p.m. of septic pneumonia. She had been home but a week, having returned from Chicago where she had taken X-ray treatment for seventeen weeks and had returned home for the reason that she had become too weak to continue the treatment longer. Mr. W.J. Jefferson and daughter Miss Mae Jefferson accompanied the body to Chicago last night where the funeral is held today form the Holy Angel's Church. Mrs. Jefferson was born in Dublin, Ireland, in 1843 and has been a devout Catholic from girlhood. Her children consisting of three sons and one daughter have grown to maturity who with her husband mourn their loss of a fond mother and wife.
