FUNERAL SERVICES FOR COKER WYMORE

Coker, the son of Mr. and Mrs. S.C. Wymore of Montezuma, Iowa, was born in Mahaska county, four miles southeast of Union, on February 11, 1898, and passed quietly away at his home in Ewart, after a painful and lingering illness, at twenty-five minutes of nine o'clock Thursday evening, July 30, 1925, aged 27 years, 5 months and 19 days.

He received his schooling in the country schools and in the public schools of What Cheer.

He was happily married on February 4, 1922, to Miss Inez Clark. To this union were born two children, Marcella Dean, 3 years of age, and little Clarke Vernon, aged nine months.

Coker was an indusrious, hard working, cheerful, upright citizen. He was a faithful husband and father. He has spent the most of his life in this and nearby communities with the exception of two years spent in Montana.

About a year ago he was injured. This injury finally resulted in the illness which caused his untimely death. During his illness, he was wonderfully cheerful, patient, and hopeful, although he suffered terribly at times.

Besides his grief-stricken wife and children, he leaves his father and mother, three brothers and a sister. They are Arthur of Ottumwa, Margaret of Newton, Jasper and Sidney at home.

The sympathy of the entire neighborhood goes out to the widow and children, who have thus been so summarily separated from their loved one.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Ewart Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. A.H. Barker of Montezuma. Interment was made at the Ewart cemetery.
