ART STUEBER DIES TUESDAY

Arthur Stueber, farmer in the Grinnell community most of his lifetime, died at a local hospital early Tuesday morning, following an illness of several years. He was 71 years old.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon from Smith Funeral Home with Rev. John DeLong, pastor of the Methodist church officiating.

Native of Missouri, Mr. Stueber had farmed in the Grinnell community and had been associated with the Albert Grosenbach farm for about 40 years. He came to Grinnell from Algona, Iowa.

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Stueber, he was born August 12, 1883. He never married. Mr. Stueber was a member of the Methodist church, and the IOOF Lodge.

Surviving are three brothers, Fred of Sedalia, Mo.; Edward of Melvin, Ill., and Henry of Kenosha, Wis.; one nephew and one niece.

At the final rites, Mrs. Rhee Auman was organist and pallbearers were Albert, Arthur, Emory, Gerald and Milton Grosenbach and Dolph Miller. Burial was at Hazelwood cemetery with Smith Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Graveside rites will be conducted by Grinnell Lodge, No. 358, IOOF.
