RITES HELD FOR MR. LUKEHART

LAUREL (Special) --

Funeral services for William G. Lukehart, 76, of Laurel, who died Wednesday at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Des Moines, were held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church in Laurel, with the Rev. Richard L. Miller officiating.

Burial was in Graceland cemetery, Laurel.

The son of William and Augusta Schultz Lukehart, he was born April 5, 1897, in Laurel. On Feb. 25, 1920, he was married to Ida McIlrath. Mr. Lukehart farmed until he retired in 1958. He was a veteran of World War I, and was a member of the Laurel American Legion and the Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife; three children, Leonard and Clyde of Laurel and Mrs. Verl (Inez) Jones of Elmhurst, Ill.; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Lawrence of Marshalltown.

Mr. Lukehart was preceded in death by one sister, two brothers, and one great-grandchild.
