MARGARET L. DIETZE

Margaret L. Dietze, 97, from Guernsey, died July 26, 1987, at Brookhaven Nursing Home, Brooklyn, where she had been a resident since October 1986.

The daugther of Franklin Pierce and Jane Mary Eddy Wagner, she was born May 22, 1890, at Millersburg. On March 8, 1911, she married Otto A. Dietze and lived at Keswick, Millersburg and Deep River before moving to their farm at Guernsey. Mrs. Dietze was an honorary member of the Busy Bee Club and loved working in her garden and being outside.

Funeral services were Tuesday, July 28, at 10 a.m. at Watts Funeral Home, Montezuma with burial at Community Cemetery near Millersburg.

Margaret Dietze was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Otto A. Dietze; a still-born son; a daughter Evelyn King; a half-sister Ida Kinzig; eight brothers and sisters; Maude Erue, Ressie Girard, Kurtis Pierce, Clara Wilhite, Effie Morrison, Katie Buske, William and Willard Pierce.

Surviving are one grandson and wife, David Lee and Beverly King of Guernsey, and three great-grandchildren David, Douglas, and Dianne.
