Clark Antisdel, 83. Dies At Grinnell After Long Illness

Clark Antisdel, 83, Grinnell, brother of H. N. Antisdel of Milford and a former long time resident of the Milford community, died in the Grinnell hospital, Thursday, May 10, where he had been a patient since May 14, 1960, following a stroke.

Funeral services were held in the James Funeral Home Sunday and burial was made in Chester Cemetery near Grinnell.

Mr. Antisdel, son of Alvin William and Ellen Jane, was born in a log cabin at Lanesboro, Minnesota, February 22, 1879. While a very small boy the family moved to the Antisdel homestead southeast of Milford.

June 2, 1903, he was married to Blanche Meek, who also lived southeast of Milford, and they established their home on the farm now occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Albert Trunnell. They observed their 50th wedding anniversary in the home 50 years later. A year later they moved to Grinnell where they built a new home to be near their daughter, Leona (Mrs. Raymond Harris). Mrs. Antisdel preceded him in death several years ago.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Harris and Mrs. Lola Stelpflug of LeMars; two granddaughters; his brother Henry and a sister, Mrs. Mae Miller of McAllen, Texas.
