TELFORD B. LODDEN, 86

Telford B. Lodden, 86, died February 25, 1998 at the Montezuma Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services were Monday, March 2 at Ankeny Funeral Home. Interment was at Lincoln Cemetery in Alleman, Iowa.

Telford was born to Christ and Inger (Hokel) Lodden February 11, 1912 in the Huxley-Cambridge area. He lived in central Iowa all of his life.

On March 18 1934, he was united in marriage to Beatrice Alleman.

He served in the Navy during World War II.

He worked for the Internal Revenue Service, US Treasury Department as an agent for 36 years. He retired in 1977.

Telford was a member of the Masonic Lodge, National Treasury Employees Union, Christ Lutheran Church of Des Moines and in 1973, was the recipient of the Albert Gallatin Award given by the Treasury Department.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

He is survived by a daughter, Charlene L. Knight of Lake Ponderosa; a son, Telford "Ted" A. Lodden of West Des Moines; a brother, Bayard Lodden of Paramount, Calif.; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Lutheran Church or the Masonic Lodge.
