CLYDE SAM CHADWELL

Clyde Sam Chadwell, son of Sam and Effie Chadwell, was born September 12, 1882 at Wilsontown, Adair County in Missouri. He passed away at University Hospital, Iowa City, on February 11, 1958. Mr. Chadwell reached the age of 75 years and five months.

On the 10th of November, 1915, he was united in marriage to Carrie Dell Swart, at the Methodist parsonage in Grinnell.

Mr. Chadwell lived in Grinnell and Newburg communities since 1905. He took a great interest in horses and was a member of the Saddle Club.

Mrs. Chadwell will long treasure his memory because he was such a kind husband. Others will also remember the deceased because he was always ready to lend a helping hand wherever possible.

His last occupation was that of custodian of the Methodist church in Grinnell.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and three sisters. Left to mourn his passing are his faithful wife Carrie, one sister, Lucille Rose, and two brothers, Pete and Charlie Chadwell, all of Kirksville, Mo.
