PAULINE F. RITNER

Pauline F. Ritner, 93, of the Mayflower Home in Grinnell died Saturday, June 2 at the Mayflower's home health care center.

Memorial services will be held at a later date, with burial at Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Atchison, Kan. The body was donated to the anatomy department of the University of Iowa.

Born Oct. 17, 1896 in Atchison, she was the daughter of Thomas J. and Annie Murphy Ritner. She graduated from Atchison High School and Ottawa University, receiving her master's degree from the University of Chicago.

Following her education, she served as director of religious education at churches in Waukegan, Ill.; Flint, Mich.; and Chicago. She moved to the Mayflower home in 1975.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Grinnell, the Poweshiek and Grinnell chapters of the DAR, the Grinnell Genearl Hospital Auxiliary, and the Kansas State Board for Baptist Women's Work.

There are no immediate survivors. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Ruth Dreier and Helen Ritner; and a brother, Robert Ritner.
