HENRY HILKE, 47, DIED ON MONDAY

Henry Hilke, proprietor of the Mill-Core Planing mill, died Monday evening at a Grinnell hospital after an extended period of ill health. He had been seriously ill for about a month.

Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at Snyder Brothers' chapel, with Rev. Leland Mann of the Congregational church in charge. Music was provided by Mrs. Margery Bouma. Burial was at Hazelwood.

Mr. Hilke was 47 years old at his death. He was born in a village near Hanover, Germany, coming to this country in the late nineteen-twenties. He moved to Grinnell from Chicago about six years ago.

He is survived by his wife and a little son and daughter, Ronald and Ingrid. Numerous relatives still live in Germany.
