OBITUARY.

C.D. KELSEY.

Died, in Los Angeles, Cal., May 31st, 1906, Charles Delos Kelsey, aged 79 years 6 months. Mr. Kelsey was born in Le Roy, N.Y. Dec. 4th, 1826. He married Lucy Langworthy Dec. 1st, 1853. They came to Grinnell, Iowa in 1857 where they brought up a family of twelve children, all now living except Wm. R., who was killed on the railroad in 1896.

Mr. Kelsey was an active member of the Baptist church in Grinnell from the time of its organization until he moved with his family to Des Moines in 1881.

For a number of years his health was poor and in October 1905 the family moved to Los Angeles. The end came at last. The wife and children were at his bedside, except three sons, Jay D. Kelsey of Lyle, Wash., Judson M. of Rockford, Ill. and Frank L. of Kansas City, Mo. Besides these he leaves two sisters, Mrs. L.S. Howard of San Bernardino, Cal., and Mrs. Luther Bannister of Le Roy, N.Y. Funeral occured on Sat., June 2nd, conducted by Dr. Stephen A. Northrop of the First Baptist church. Interment was in Rosedale cemetery. He rests from his labors in the sure and certain hope of a resurrection unto life.
