--The funeral of Mrs. Julia A. Earl, wife of the late Dr. Earl, D.D.S., was attended by numerous friends the 11th instant. The services were conducted by Rev. Thomas Brande. The deceased has been a resident of Grinnell 26 years, was 78 years of age. The mother of twelve children, four of whom survive her, and 18 grandchildren. One son, Gus Earl, and his sister, Mrs. B.A. Stowe, and her husband, from Anita, and her youngest daughter, Addie, were present. Henry alone was absent in Dakota. The deceased suffered much in a lingering consumption four years and has been cared for by her daughter Addie, who gratefully acknowledges the assistance she has received from many kind friends. In quiet resignation and cheerful hope the deceased awaited the summons to depart out of this life.
