ELLA GRAHAM

Ella F. Graham, 82, of Grinnell, formerly of Malcom, died Friday, Sept. 25, at Friendship Manor.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Daniel I. Ogata, pastor of the Malcom Presbyterian Church, officiating. Music will be provided by Susie Edelen, organist, and Madison Tomfeld, who will play the harmonica. Pallbearers will be Steven Beck, Greg Beck, Jeff Kolars, Marty Kolars, Mark Martin, Brad Smith, Michelle Graham, Doug See Jr. and Carl Martin Jr.

Members of the Malcom Rebekah Lodge will conduct fraternal rites. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery near Malcom.

Memorials may be made to the Ella Graham Memorial Fund.

The daughter of Robert O. and Anna C. Buchenau Spading, she was born July 26, 1910, near Malcom. She attended rural school and Malcom Public School.

She was married to William J. Graham in Montezuma, and the couple lived in Gibson, Forest Home and Montezuma. Mrs. Graham moved to Malcom in 1953. She was a member of the Malcom Presbyterian Church and the Rebekah Lodge. She had worked in the housekeeping department at Grinnell College and for Malcom-area restaurants

Surviving are five sons, Thomas of Warrensburg, Mo., John of San Antonio, Texas, William of El Toro, Calif., James of Helotes, Texas, and Michael of Newton; five daughters, Beatrice Martin, Ruth Beck and Carol Kolars, all of Malcom, and Roberta See and Nancy Weaver, both of Grinnell; 27 grandchildren and many great and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Barbara J. Smith; one grandson, David Smith; one brother, Theodore Spading; and two sisters, Mabel McKeag and Clara Smith.
