ENID CHEAVENS MEMORIAL SET

Enid M. Cheavens, 86, of the Mayflower Home died Saturday morning Aug. 17, at Grinnell General Hospital.

A memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, with the Rev. Robert Towner officiating. Organist will be Terry Walker.

A memorial has been established at St. Paul's and contributions may be directed to the Smith Funeral Home here.

The daughter of Henry Julius and Lela Pennington Morgan, she was born March 19, 1899, at Hearne, Texas. She was a graduate of Waco, Texas High School and studied music at Waco and Dallas.

She was married to John Herndon Cheavens on Dec. 15, 1928, at Trujillo, Peru. Following their marriage they lived in Peru and the western United States. She came to the Mayflower Home in 1976.

Mrs. Cheavens was a member of Chapter L.L., P.E.O., of Redwood City, Calif. She taught piano for many years.

Surviviors include two daughters, Sallie Verrette of Grinnell and Enid Schantz of Boulder, Colo.; four grandchildren; and two brothers, Thomas A. Morgan of Amarillo, Texas, and Robert E. Morgan of Midland, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers, Henry J. Morgan Jr. and William E. Morgan; and a sister, Henrietta Seaman.

ENID CHEAVENS MEMORIAL HELD

Memorial services for Enid M. Cheavens, 86, who died at the Mayflower Home Saturday morning, were conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church.

The Rev. Robert Towner officiated, and organist was Terry Walker. Burial was Thursday at the Skylawn Memorial Park in San Mateo, Calif.
