Alvin E. Busch, son of Ernest and Velma White Busch, was born August 22, 1906, northwest of Brooklyn. He attended the rural school in the vicinity and was baptised in the Madison Christian church where he remained a member until leaving the community.

June 28, 1933, he was married to Tillie Possehl in the home of her parents near Hartwick. One son, Lavern, was born to the couple.

After farming a few years, he moved into Hartwick where he worked as a repairman of equipment, supervised the Hartwick street light system and had driven a school bus for over 15 years. After coming to the Hartwick community he had transferred his membership to the Hartwick Congregational church.

Survivors include his wife and son, both of Hartwick; three sisters, Mrs. Harold (Clara) Gray of Malcom, Mrs. William (Ada) Schnell of Dysart and Mrs. Elver (Velma) Roudabush of Brooklyn. He also leaves a sister-in-law, Mrs. Harry (Irene) Busch of Brooklyn, two nieces and two nephews.
