ALICE MANATT'S FUNERAL TODAY

Funeral services for Miss Alice Manatt, for the past twenty five years a resident of Grinnell, were held at 11 o'clock this morning from the home of her sister, Miss Emily Manatt, 903 East street. The services were in accordance with the procedure of the Christian Science Church, and were in charge of Professor L.P. Sherman. The pall bearers were V.G. Preston, J.H. McMurray, Carl E. Child, R.B. Work, L.V. Phelps and F.M. Bartling. Burial was in Hazelwood cemetery.

Besides her sister Emily, Miss Manatt is survived by another sister, Mrs. L.C. Gorsuch of Brooklyn, and by two brothers, Rex and Ernest Manatt of Hampton, all of whom were here for the funeral.

Miss Manatt had been in failing health the past year and a half. She passed away at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon. In the days of her activity she was a busy and helpful woman and she is mourned by many friends.
