MRS. ANDREW EMMERT OF NEAR KELLOGG IS KILLED IN RUNAWAY

Mrs. Andrew Emmert, of the neighborhood between Kellogg and Killduff, met a tragic death last Monday evening in a runaway in which her husband sustained a fractured hip and a number of flesh wounds. The horse was frightened when two dogs ran out in front of it, ran half a mile and finally dashed into a pile of logs. Both Mr. and Mrs. Emmert were thrown out. Mrs. Ememrt's skull was fractured, her left arm was broken in two places, the left leg in three places and the left shoulder was also broken. She never fully recovered consciousness and died at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday morning. She was the mother of six children, ranging in age from eighteen to five years.

Mrs. Emmert was formerly Miss Lela Drew, a daughter of A.E. Drew of the Newton neighborhood.
