MR. NEIGHBORS SERVICES SET

Hobart Neighbors, 73, of 324 Eleventh Ave., Grinnell, died Friday afternoon at Grinnell General Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today at the Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Hugh Shiveley of the First Baptist Church officiating. Organist will be Kathleen Heffner, and vocalist will be Linda Neighbors. Burial will be at Hazelwood Cemetery.

The son of Samuel and Alice Forbes Neighbors, he was born Nov. 21, 1903, at Livonia, Mo. He attended Livonia High School. On Oct. 20, 1926, he was married to Gladys N. Wright at Unionville, Mo. The couple had three sons. Mr. and Mrs. Neighbors lived in Livonia for awhile, moving to Grinnell in 1937. Mr. Neighbors was a retired Maytag Co. worker and was a member of the U.A.W. He attended the Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Gladys; his three sons, Robert E. Neighbors of Emmetsburg, Howard Neighbors of Grinnell, and Terry Neighbors of Fergus Falls, Minn.; five grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Verna Minear of Loma Linda, Calif. He was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
